Cherokee Purple is an heirloom tomato whose roots can be traced back over 100 years to the Cherokee People. This delicious slicing tomato has dark purple skin with green shoulders and deep red flesh. Cherokee Purple is indeterminate, which means it will keep growing all season long and will need to be trellised or caged.

Where to plant :: Plant tomatoes in a warm spot with full sun and fertile soil.

When to start inside :: Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before your last frost date.

When to sow outside :: Transplant tomatoes in the garden after the last chance of frost has passed.
