Letterpress is a very old, very cumbersome technique. What makes it so cool is what also makes it hard to create custom items. For each print or design you see here, we first design a plate for the design that costs roughly $60. We then spend approximately 3 hours setting the press up, mixing the ink, printing, and then cleaning the plates. For this reason, we normally print between 100 and 400 of our designs at a time. Imagine if we did all that work for one print! We'd be broke, and more importantly, we'd never have time to create more awesome original artwork for you!

We know this answer is probably a disappointment; it is for us too when we're printing our own designs! If you're interested in printing several hundred of one design, or if you're willing to pay the minimum custom set-up fee of $300, we'd be happy to talk to you further. State prints are only available as a 5X7 in the colors shown on the photographs in the listing. All of our state prints are starred where the state capital resides. We know it’s disappointing that we can’t customize these in all of the many ways (other sizes, other colors, other phrases/sayings) we get requests for, but we have to have time to design and print more great drawings we love. We try to ship out the next day whenever possible.

Delivery outside the U.S. generally takes a minimum of two weeks, and Canadian mail usually takes one month. Please let us know if you'd like to upgrade to USPS International Priority, which generally costs and additional $20-$30. We'd be happy to set something up for you.

Letterpress is a handmade process, and no two items are exactly alike. There will be minor differences in color (due to computer monitors and photography) and impression, but we promise to deliver a lovely, letterpressed item free from smudges or other damage.

If you do happen to receive an item with a minor problem, we ask you to contact us with a photo of the problem. In most cases, we'll just send you a replacement, but we may ask you to return the item at your shipping cost.

If you are truly unhappy with the item and would like to return it, we will refund you the cost of the item only, not the shipping, and you will need to pay to ship it back to us. First class mail is inexpensive and completely acceptable. Please let us know that you're sending a return, and we will refund your money when we have it back and see that the item is undamaged and complete.
